Percept Picture Co's CEO, COO quits

August 25, 2009

Media and entertainment company, Percept Picture Co (PPC) and P9 has suffered another blow following the debacle of its movies like Jumbo and 8X10 Tasveer. According to informed sources, PPC's chief executive Navin Shah and chief operating officer Manish Mathur, together have put in their papers.

While Navin Shah refused to speak on the subject, Mathur was not immediately available for comment. Percept Picture has said," there have been no such developments at PPC and hence no official comment that Percept will release to the Media."
Shah joined Percept in 2005 as the chief executive of P9 Integrated, the entertainment marketing unit of Percept. In August 2008, he was given the additionally responsibility of PPC. This position was vacant for six months after the then chief executive Preet Bedi quit the organisation.

Manish Mathur joined the Percept as general manager for media buying and marketing services in December 2008. Mathur had worked with Mindshare for almost two years, where he initiated the setting up of CubeM which cater to entertainment clients.

At PPC, both Shah and Mathur were taking care of the new assignments together from 12 December 2008.
Earlier this year, Percept Picture Company chief financial officer Milind Dabke and motion pictures head Rohit Arora resigned from the company. Additionally, at least 12 mid-level professionals have also either been given the pink slip or have resigned recently. - Pallabika Ganguly
