Clifford Asness, managing and founding principal of AQR Capital, a very well-regarded specialist hedge fund in the US, is an outspoken man who often takes a contrarian stance. Recently, he penned an eye-opening article for the January/February 2014 issue of the Financial Analysts Journal, listing his so-called ‘pet peeves’ that mostly concern wrongly held, and commonly repeated, beliefs.
