Nifty, Sensex may try to push higher, if global clues support – Wednesday closing report

We had mentioned in Tuesday’s closing report that Nifty, Sensex may be under pressure. On Wednesday, the indices opened higher and ended with minor gains. On the NSE, there were 1,028 advances, 959 declines and 63 unchanged.

Zomato IPO was subscribed 1.05 times with bids for 75.60 crore equity shares against IPO size of 71.92 crore equity shares. Retail investors portion got oversubscribed by 2.69 times.
 
Infosys reported a consolidated profit of Rs 5,195 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2021, compared to Rs 4,233 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
 
Consolidated revenue grew to Rs 27,896 crore compared to Rs 23,665 crore in the previous year.
 
Quess Corp denied concealing any income after the IT department claimed that it has revealed undisclosed income of around Rs 880 crore during raids of the company's two premises in Bengaluru.
 
Tata Metaliks reported a net profit of Rs 94.72 crore against a loss of Rs 12.36 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations almost tripled to Rs 603 crore from Rs 210 crore in the previous year.

India Grid Trust acquired 100% stake in two solar assets with cumulative capacity of 100 MW from Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) at an enterprise value of Rs 6.6 billion. 
 
Hinduja Housing Finance sanctioned loan facility of Rs 5.30 crore to Star Housing Finance Limited.
