Nifty, Sensex May Try to Rally – Wednesday Closing Report

On Wednesday, the indices opened gap up and ended in the red. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), 930 stocks advanced, 1,109 declined, and 51 remained unchanged with advance decline ratio of 0.84.

JSW Energy’s Q3FY21-22 revenue increased by 20% to Rs 1,984 crore on a y-o-y basis. The net profit jumped to Rs 324 crore as compared to Rs 124 crore in the same period last year. 
 
Hero Electric has tied up with Mahindra to manufacture its e-bikes Optima & NYX at their Pithampur plant to meet the growing demands.
 
India Energy Exchange has divested 4.93% stake in Indian Gas Exchange to Indian Oil Corporation. The stock closed 3% higher.
 
Reliance Jio has paid Rs 30,791 crore to Department of Telecom towards deferred liabilities pertaining to spectrum acquisition prior to March 2021. 
 
Tata Elxsi’s Q3FY21-22 revenue increased by 33.2% to Rs 635.4 crore on a y-o-y basis and net profit grew by 43.5% to Rs 151 crore. The stock was up 9.42%.
 
Biocon closed 5% higher after brokerage firm Morgan Stanley India upgraded the stock to outperform from equal-weight rating.
 
L&T Technology Services closed 6% lower after reporting 8% increase in Q3FY21-22 net profit.
 
Tata Motors has launched its CNG segment vehicles today with Tiago and Tigor variants. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has increased its stake in the company by 7 basis point to 1.18% from 1.11% in Q3FY21-22.
 
Hitachi Energy closed 5% higher after the firm won an order of more than Rs 160 crore.
