Nifty, Sensex moving sideways – Tuesday closing report

We had mentioned in Monday’s closing report that Nifty, Sensex may rise. On Tuesday, the indices opened lower and ended with minor losses. On the NSE, there were 1,178 advances, 774 declines and 74 unchanged.
The trends of the major indices in the course of Tuesday’s trading are given in the table below:
Sun Pharma has received royalty-free, non-exclusive voluntary licences by US drugmaker Eli Lilly and Co for its baricitinib drug to help combat the second wave of COVID-19 in India. 
Neuland Laboratories consolidated profit came in at Rs 17.29 crore against a loss at Rs 9.29 crore in the year ago period. Revenue jumped to Rs 244.7 crore from Rs 191.6 crore in the same period.
Granules India net profit went up 38.2% YoY to Rs 127.6 crore. Revenue gained 33.2% at Rs 799.3 crore against Rs 599.9 crore YoY.
Punjab National Bank has launched a qualified institutional placement offer to raise Rs 1,800 crore from institutional investors.
Siemens reported net profit growth of 90% YoY to Rs 334.4 crore compared to Rs 175 crore in the previous year. Revenue grew 30% YoY to Rs 3,540 crore.
HSIL net profit grew tenfold to Rs 33.02 crore compared to Rs 3.38 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 4 per equity share.
HFCL consolidated profit jumped steeply to Rs 84.67 crore against Rs 5.78 crore in the year ago period. Revenue rose to Rs 1,391.4 crore from Rs 663.19 crore YoY. 
Chambal Fertilisers net profit grew to Rs 447.89 crore compared to Rs 197.55 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue declined to Rs 1,640.76 crore from Rs 1,969.09 crore YoY.
IRDAI has penalised SBI General Insurance Company Rs 30 lakh for repeatedly violating Insurance Act and the regulations.
Kalpataru Power Transmission reported net profit of Rs 174 crore, up many times from Rs 31 crore in the year ago period. Revenue grew 16% YoY to Rs 4,104 crore.
